You get a different hood, spoiler, and 17 inch wheels instead of 16. A different airbox that opens on top to make use of the hood. You get a slightly different exhaust too (that doesnt mean the exhuast is better though)

The suspension is also slightly tweaked and has a bigger swaybar I think.

The above listed are all standard.

SLP options include an SLP motorsport Lid and SLP performance tuned exhuast system. IMO these options are a horrible waste of money. They cost alot more than they would on the aftermarket and you can find much better aftermarket replacements anyway.
Nope ... my 2001 SS doesn't have the dash plaque or key fobs; nor does it have upgraded floor mats. Those are all actually options (it shows them on the original sticker if you have it, and also in the owner's manual).

Sucks though, I have the only SS I've ever seen without a "Camaro SS" dash plaque!

LT1 SS's drove air right from the hood directly down into the intake. LS1 SS's tunnel the air around the back of the hood and down the sides, then it funnels it into the air box on top of the radiator. Air goes through the filter, then into the intake.

If you open up your hood and look at the underside of it, you can see the tunnels I'm talking about ... that's where the air's flowing.

Supposedly the LS1's way of doing it results in slightly better gains because air to the engine is more useful when it's not "turbulent." So channeling it through the hood smooths it out (like smooth bellows ... same idea).

Instead of spending $600 on a whole different cat-back, you could just replace the muffler. The D/D flows just as well as any other cat-back out there...

Dont think of Ram-Air as "ramming air" into the intake. That is not the case. Think of it more as GM's version of cold air induction. Theoretically, it channels the cooler outside air into the airbox. Whether it succeeds or not is debatable and has been argued time and time again. Some will say its worthless, some that it doesnt work until ~60mph etc.

Whats not debatable however is the fact that the aftermarket, whether you go with a open element system like hte K&N, a new lid, or one of the "ram air" systems will all be a good upgrade over the stock system regardless of whether you have a SS or not.

If the SS has any Y2Y options, which are the SLP options, the options will be listed on a sticker inside the door.

The passenger side door is where the SLP options are listed.

My SS came as a base model and does not have the internal badgeing as well. Most of the SLP stuff came as options. So if you ordered your car through a dealer and you knew all the option code you could get all the stuff. I found that most dealers did not know anything about the Camaro . no wonder they did not sell many of them
The SS hood does not act as a Ram Air system. I do not know where this comes from. If you look in the literature SLP even calls it a cold air induction system. On the Firebird it is a Ram Air system.
