Surge Tank Replacement on C5

I did a search and couldn't locate this topic so I'm making a post.

The coolant surge tank on my C5 is a bit leaky. Can this be repaired or should I just go ahead and buy a new tank? I looked into it and it looks like it's only three bolts to replace it and I could probably do it myself, but wondered if a fix was possible to get me by. It's leaking along the seam. The local shop wants $200+ to replace.

You can try and rig it, but a replacement tank shouldn't be a ton of money if ordered from one of our vendors or through Dal or Jason Cromer.

It's 3 10mm nuts and some hose clamps. 5 minutes of work TOPS.
