Synthetic ATF in M6

Has anyone used synthetic ATF in their 6-speed manual? If so, what did you use and what are the advantages/disadvantages? Thanks.

When summer comes around I am thinking of doing the same thing. I have no idea what to use however. If anyone could shed some light on this it would be great. I am assuming as long as the synthetic has the same ratings as normal ATF you should be fine. Benefits probably include better protection through superior lubricating abilities and the ability to withstand high trans temps.
