Talking Tested out a '99 Z28!!!!

I traded my '95 Z for a Z71 pickup a few months ago, and I miss it severely, so Friday I saw a '99 m6 and test drove it. Holy cow!!!! This thing would eat my LT1 for lunch! I cannot believe the power difference........I'm going to try to trade tomorrow....wish me luck.

Hopefully I'll be back on board here for some LS1 info!!

Cool

Yup, the difference is pretty noticeable, especially the top end.

Good luck with your trade and if you succeed, do some searches and read through a few pages and you'll find answers to most of the new-to-LS1 type of questions.

The LT1 feels torquier at the low end...but once you shift into 3rd...the difference is incredible between the two.

Yep!, I think my biggest problem will be traction.....that thing is freakin' violent! I had the A4 in my '95, and no problem hooking up, but if everything goes well tomorrow, I'll be learnin' to drive again!!

Grats! I just bought mine recently too, (Oct) and loved it for the 1 month I had it out. I took a buddy that has an LT1 T/A, for a ride in mine cuz he wanted to see the difference...

From a 2nd gear punch, and I quote ...

"HOLY S!@$, yeah, yours has more juice than mine"

IMO, LT1 Camaros look meaner than LS1 Maros, but LS1 T/As look meaner than LT1 T/As. Kinda the opposites.. but to each his own!

Congrats on the purchase, I bet your lovin the sportscar feel again! (and its a 6 speed to boot)
