the "camless" engine is far away and has solenoid actuated valves. the 6.0 liter gen III is not a 368 and never has been. it's a 364. they may come out with the three valve dual cam in block soon, but i don't know what the rpo for it will be. certainly no LS2 out right now.

FYI there is an LS2.
LS2 is the RPO for the `73-4 SD 455 engine in the Formula and Trans Am.
LS1 is the RPO for the `70 Ram Air IV engine installed in only 88 Trans Am's in 1970.

So you got some inside info Phantom? Are there any sites that I can read to check out new engine combos and concepts?

About 6 months ago someone here posted a link to an article about GM firing some employees for "leaking" info about new technologies. In the article it mentioned the LS2 as being a 500HP camless V8.

The camless is not far away. BMW should be implementing it in a few (1-3) years. Why shouldn't GM go ahead with it? The ultimate power curve. Any duration, any lift, any LSa !!! No cam, lifters, pushrods, tappets/RR's, no need to have a "racing" cam or "street" cam or "daily" cam. All that could be done with the push of a button. I'm in.
