Thus illustrates why Mustang outsells F-bodies, resulting in the death of the F-body. Hello GM engineering??? WTF!! Wait till the new Mach 1 comes out, then trade. Those look awesome.

Uhhh...unless you've had some other problems, I wouldn't really call your car a lemon. Both of the things you mentioned are rather minor. I've actually been quite pleased with my 99'. Anyways don't expect to take a step up in the quality department by going to a Mustang. They are about the same.

When I replied I assumed that you have had many problems up to this latest issue. If not, there is no way that you will find a car that goes three years without a problem and even then only has such a minor problem.

Talking

shouldnt this be in the lounge since you arent asking for help, but merely stating that you are no longer happy with your car?

Dude dont get a mustang. Those problems are minor, I mean you have an awesome performance car. If you go to a mustang you will have to pay way more money than you have to, to get about the same performance that you get from your SS. I mean with the Roush or Saleen. Keep your car.

hey man. ok fine i dont have an ls1, but a 95z. had it for three years now. 2nd owner. havent had a single problem yet (knock on wood) unless you call regular wear and tear problems.(tires, brakes, etc.) the worst thing thats happened so far is the rubber on my windshield wiper ripped of from beeing stuck to the ice on the windshield. the previous owner hadnt had any problems either. nada. zip. zero. cant say that for NONE of the mustang guys i know (and there are a ton around here) be it 1, 2, 3 year old , it doesnt matter. they all have had some problem or other. even a guy i work with who beleives only japs make reliable cars, picked up a 2000 accord a month ago with like 30000 miles, from a dealer, extended warranty and all, and has already been back 3 (thats right )THREE times to get things fixed, the last one beeing his window got stuck. and dont let me get on those civics. oh, i also forgot to mention, my 7 year old headlight bulb burnt out also 2 months ago. those crapppy camaros. its unreal huh? by the way, its my second 95z, and the first only had the foglight burn out for the 2 years i had that one. anyway, good luck with your decision, but ill tell your future for you.......youll be back!

Every car is different. My 2000 SS needed the driver's cat replaced (under warranty). Two window motors on my mom's 99 Dodge Intrepid have already gone bad.

<font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2"> i know gts and cobras r pieces of ****</font>
OK

<font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2"> BUT the saleen and roush r tightas hell </font>
Are they any better in quality than the Camaro? I've never owned a saleen or roush, but aren't they just tuned and modded stock GT's and Cobra's?

<font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2"> and i found a 1999 red saleen s281 w/ only 14k miles on it...i want it </font>

Great, throw a supercharger on your car, or a heads/cam package.

<font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2"> but r camaros really tahtmuch better than mustangs? </font>
Not really.

Every car is different. I've never owned a roush or saleen, nor known anybody that has.

Saleens are nice but they fall apart. It is an expensive GT with a crappy steve/allen blower. The cheapest you can get one is 30,000. And if you want a good one try about 40,000-50,000, that is if you want to get rid of all the gt interior and brakes and so on. Plus I have 2 friends in ausin that have them and they have nothing but problems. As for the stage 3, nice but not nice enough. again very overpriced. A stage 2 is around 35,000, so you can guess what a stage 3 is, again about 55,000, drove one and they are overrated, but much faster than the s281. M3's are nice , my g/f is probably buying one, much better than an expensive GT. Anyways, if i were to get another mustang i would have to look into the 2003 mach 1 or an 03 cobra. Hell they are alot cheaper plus i have seen reviews of the mach 1 hitting 12's with just gears. I now how you feel about geting a new car, did the same in 2001 when i sold my 99 Gt for my 02 Z. Everyone is right though, on my 99 i went through a rear-end, 3 throwout bearings, paint defects, exhuast leak the day i bought it, and tranny probs. Every car has its problems. Damn i can't believe i am talking about mustangs, dammit GM bring back my f-body.
