Thinking about Throttle Bodie's.

What is the best throttle body for my 02 SS? The car is pretty stock except for some bolt ons like air lid, Y pipe, smoothe bellow, K&N and not much else yet. I am thinking of a BBK 80mm or porting my stock one myself. Or is this a waste of time until I do a cam swap?

Re: Thinking about Throttle Bodie's.

Just leave yours on there, a new TB will yeild almost no gains with such little mods.

do not do bbk - if you are confident in your porting skills, do it yourself, otherwise send your TB out to a sponsor to do the porting - you can get it done for 75 bucks or so...and like it was stated above, you really won't see any gains with your lack of mods

What about F.A.S.T. tb's? Specifically the 78mm F.A.S.T. over stock?

Thanks for the insight. I will probably try to do my stock one myself sometime in the future.

installuniversity.com or ls1howto.com have a nice write up on DIY porting.
