That time of the CLUTCH...
Well it has fannaly arrived, the morning where I get into my car, start it, and to realize I am in reverse getting out of the driveway with the clutch engaged and my foot on the brake and not realizing my car is dying but still idling at 500 rpms. The question is, I have 45000 miles on the car, i don't rape it....much.....unless I have to smoke some rice...and I had a stock clutch. In your opinions what would be the best Clutch for street use but with Casual Racing in mind, any suggestion's would be greatly appreciated.

I'm in the same situation. I went with a McLeod Single Disk.
Whatever you do, it's worth the extra money for a new thrust bearing and a slave cylinder. I was bleeding my slave cylinder after we installed the clutch the first time and noticed fluid dripping from the flywheel inspection slot. We tore the transmission back down and noticed that the seal on the slave is fugly and leaking.
Should be done getting it back in tomorrow, just waiting for the new slave to show up.

Id prob. suggest the Z06 clutch for your plans but if u decide to go w/any power adders (NOS, heads/cam, etc.) then id say Cartek or RAM. I just got my car back yesterday after waiting on my Cartek and Mcleod master to be installed. Its stiffer than stock but shifts LOTS better than stock. (my clutch was in real bad shape) Havent even had a chance to get on it b/c im tryin to take it easy for a couple hundred miles but so far im happy w/it.
