Post Tranny swap from auto to M6

Has anyone done this on a LS1?

What was involved I've found guides for LT1's but not a LS1.

Cool

There have been a few that have done this swap. You might check in the drivetrain section at www.ls1tech.com Why would you want to go with an M6? The A4 will run quicker in the 1/4 with a nice torque converter.

Personal opinion but....why get four gears when you can have six?

Also, What fun is it if the car drives itself?

Isn't it nice to be in Complete control of your vehicle?

Just thoughts....

BTW, your accusation about an A4 w/a torque converter beating an M6, isn't exactly fair. Lemme dump $3K into an M6 and see who wins with you and your TC.

Just expressing opinion, not trying to be rude. Autos are very respectable. Look at the GN's and the Sy/Ty vehicles.

A TC is $750 and install is aroun $250.Hardly $3K.Plus we don't have to swap clutches every 40K miles either Face it,autos are quicker and manuals are faster.Autos usually have better 1/4 ET's and manuals usually have higher MPH.
