the 98-02 z28's have 4l60e's right? and is the Transgo shift kit for that electronic? are you able to turn it off and on??

You are correct, the transmission is a 4L60E. The Transgo shift kit is permanent. The kit replaces parts within the transmission/valve body and cannot be turned off.

B&M sells an electronic shift improver. Hypertech programers offer the option.

The Transgo will provide quicker and firmer shifts. By my understanding, the electronic controllers simply increase line pressure to firm a shift, but do not actually quicken it.
