Re: Trap 104mph

A 104 mph trap will get you 13.3-13.4 if you have an auto and a 1.8-2.0 60'. If you have a manual, you'll tend to run a 13.5-13.6 with that trap speed. Manuals tend to pull slightly harder up top due to less drivetrain loss.

What was your 60? 111 should get you in the 12's I would think.

Just goes to show that it takes more than raw power. Properly set up, a car trapping 111 will not only be in the 12s, but deep into the 12s.

Given his H/C combo, though, he should be turning a lot more than 111 and running in the 11s ...

My LT1 six speed was trapping 104 before the shorty headers and I ran a 13.27 with a 2.0 sixty. After headers I ran a 13.0 with out any prob's.
You might be able to squeeze a few more tenths out of it.

I trapped at like 107.3 MPH with a 13.4. I had a really crappy 60' though.

With traction 12's! That does not mean you have a 12 second car. Till you run it it is all speculation!

Get the sixty foot down and the rest is easy money! Anyone can make big power hooking that biatch is what counts!

Umm you need to learn a few things about drag racing before you post. I know and seen a car personally run 13.11 at 102.4 Now how do you figure 2mph is not going to go 12's.
