im a slug off the line. 60' is 2.1 at best. 8.7 1/8 @ 87mph. my big issues are; im still running a stock tc, stock 2.73's, stock ls1 intake and tb. so even tho i have a decent setup, im only putting down 385rwhp. oh and i have some blow-by in the upper rpm range (rings) the car does wake up after the 1/8 but sometimes too little too late. when i first got the setup, i got smoked by schmidt519 335rwhp m6 vs my 370rwhp then, had the shift points redone since and also gained 15rwhp.

Re: Trap 104mph

The 60' or off-the-line-traction will determine what the 1/4 should be. The MPH is totally separate from the ET and there is no direct correlation to each other. Case in point, my 2001 SS running a 104 would cut a 1.72 60' on it way to a 12.80. Now, because my SS ran a 12.8 doesn't mean your car will, it can if it hooked as well. Manuals tend to trap higher due to both (or either) pulling harder up to and because they can not multiply torque down low like autos. This is what gives autos the advantage for ETs.

Re: Trap 104mph

im nailing 13.2's at 104 consistantly with about a dead even 2.00 60" on street tires.

best ever, 13.21 at 105.79...

but that was late spring... in oklahoma

im gonna run my car two more times in november before the track closes and i sell the cars

i think i could hit 12's with good air.

the hand-held weather machine the guys at our track use consistantly read 2700-3200 ft. in altitude in the evening at our track.

so yeah. the air here sucks

anyway... back to the subject

theres a cam/longtubes/lid/ls6 intake/m6 running 13.0's at 114

one night they prepped the hell out of the track and people were digging excellant.

he ran a 12.4 at the same mph... and still could have cut down on the spinning a little.

Re: Trap 104mph

I have taken many ls1s to the track, and the slowest auto 98 and 00 z28s went 13.48 @105-106. I recently ran my dads 02 z28 with headers, catback and a lid and it went 12.55 @111 (nitto drags).

Re: Trap 104mph

You must have had a pretty good weather day at a close to sea level elevation in a light Z. Mine rolled over the scales at 3750lbs with about 50lbs of crap and me in it (shoulda been 3740 if my fat *** would get out and exercise a little more often). Either way, the best I've pulled was a 13.2X at 105mph. I sure would like to come run at your track though...

Thank You!

Et and Mph are relevent though the Mph can tell you what et you should be running and gives you something to work with so you know your 60 footing the ideal amount.

So a 13.11 @102.4 twice in a LT1 with a only CAI/RR/Tune/Stall/Gear on a tire stock every where else stock manifolds/cats oh yea a cutout, is good???? Anyone think it can go 12's in good air? This run was in the humid *** air I mean it rained up to the evening when the car was ran. Also what the hell do you think LT and true duals will be worth? I was thinking 2 tenths.

Re: Trap 104mph

104 trap is good for low 13's. I ran 13.3 @ 104 with a 2.0 60' on a few passes when I had just a lid. With a 1.9 60' you might see a 13.1 I would think.

Getting a high 12 from a 104 trap car is possible but it would take some help. You would have to be 1.9 60' or better, decent track elevation and decent weather conditions (cold, cold, cold air). 12's are also possible from a LS1 trapping 104 if the car was an auto with a 3000+ stall. Other then that figure low to mid 13's.

Cold air added .3 to my ET. I ran 13.4 one week in 90 degree weather and the following week I ran 13.1 when it was 60 degrees. I was also trapping 2.5 mph higher (what a difference 30 degrees makes )

Cold weather I can see you busting out a 12.9 @ 104. LT's and true duals should be worth another .3-.4 in your ET. LT1's are choked bad from the factory so I highly recommend getting LT's and at least a cutout on that thing ASAP. Add drag radials (if you don't have them all ready) to the exhaust upgrades and you've got a low 12 potential with a good enough 60' time and decent weather.

That's a DAMN impressive ET for that few mods on a auto LT1. Grats on the strong runner.
