Post Voltage Problems...Alternator?

I have a 99 Z28 and whenever I turn my airconditioner on my voltage drops to about 10? This has been happening for about 6months now. I have replaced the battery and still no help. I was thinking of trying to find the alternator they put in the b4c package. Does anyone know the partnumber? What is the voltage on a stock alternator supposed to run at?

Thanks,

I found out that the B4C package has a 160 amp alternator. However my local GM dealer does not have a part number for it. Does anyone know where I can get one?

Thanks in advance,

Instead of buying a B4C alternator, why don't you check the voltage output of your own alternator? Grab a voltmeter, start your car, and check the charge coming into the battery. Should be around 11-13volts at idle. Then, turn your A/C on, check it again. Shouldn't be any significant drop. If there is, drive down to (Your favorite parts store here) and have them run a regulator check. The money you'll save you can then pour into your mods budget!!
just my $.02.
