What brand of U/D pulleys perform best?
I am looking at purchasing a set of underdrive pulleys soon and I am wondering what brand performs best?
I seen that SLP has a new U/D pulley that does not require additional pullies for it to work but I was thinking of going with an entire set of puillies like ASP/March.
I saw these pullies on Thunderracing.com if it is help to anyone.
Please let know what you guys think.

Come on guys, I'd like 2 know as well. On Speedinc.com, they have the SLP
25% underdrive for $206. I guess not to hard to do, just wondering if it makes a diff. 5-8 hp would be good for me.

i don't have this mod, but do a search. i was interested in doing this a while back, but read a lot of info after doing a search and remember a lot of people saying it wasn't worth it. i still consider it though.

I have the March crank underdrive. I noticed a little difference after installing it. I didn't do the alt though. I have been running it for about 3 years now with no problems. Threw the belt once about 2 months after installing it. Since then nothing. I live in Vegas now and don't even have a problem running the A/c and everything in the heat. If you are looking for every little bit of help, it does work.

I'm thinking of doing this too. Get the ALT pulley w/ it. IMO.... THey sell a kit for it. PPL complain of dimming lights at idle.
I started a thread a WHILE ago about the SLP pulleys and them having that 'raised sidewall' to eliminate trowing a belt. I haven't heard of but a handfull of PPL that havce thrown belts. Half the population here says they're goo and the other half says they aren't worth it.
Just make sure you get the right belt w/ them.... and my $0.02; spray the tensioner pulley w/ some good lewb... Preventative maintenance. I've seen a lot of them sieze up.

i have the ASP unit.
can't say that i noticed a difference, in my mind it seemed to spin up faster, but then again i had only been driving the car for about 2 weeks.
only thrown the belt once...in the driveway. had it on almost 3yrs now.
never noticed any light dimming....least not till i put the cam in (idle surge). but that isn't the pulley's fault.
i wouldn't say it's an "easy" install. that crank bolt is a bitch to remove and replace. you have to put something like 250#s of torque on it. and it's not like the crank doesn't spin when you try to do it.
i did a write up on it a little in my website. i think on the "how to" page. also have a link to the site i used for reference. hope it helps.

It isn't that it isn't worth it. It just isn't worth it as a first mod because at that point, for the $ you can do other mods and get more output. IE mods that allow your engine to breath easier.
