For me it didnt take much i cut the muffler off and threw so Nittos on the back and clicked off a 12.88 @109. just those were on the car not the rest of the mods i have in my sig now. Myb my car is a freak and my 60" was only a 1.97 and they clutch was slipping like a bastard so i think its had alot left too

I'll also vote for the 3000+ convertor and some sticky tires. The ASP pulley is a good, cheap mod that has been proven for at least a tenth, but with an auto it might affect your alt charging. You should also look into a good air-lid, some free mods, weight reduction, maybe port&polish the throttle body, some cheap used headers and lots of practice with launching.

Just get a TNT or anyother WET kit and spray 100shot maybe just a 75shot will put you well into the 12's. You can pick that up for 550 (NX kit) or 650 (TNT kit) and install it yourself or pay someone about 200 or so to install it for you. You don't need a tune since the WET kits run on the rich side maybe rpm window switch so you wouldn't be spraying between the shifts on your A4.
Then you can kick butt when you need to or atleast hold your own. Then spend that money roll you have on the pretty stuff! I rather go fast than look good......sleeper
