Well I got the car and Im woundering what type of intake I have... the reason Im confused is because in the add that I saw my car in, said it had SLP Loudmouth Exhaust, SLP Shifter, and an SLP Lid but well I notice that its got a regular "Pontiac Ram Air" sticker on it, and no SLP sticker on it any where... (the exhaust had SLP on the tips (and its loud), the shifter well I have the reciep for that... but idk I have never driven any other LS1 so im not sure how a SLP shifter feels compared to a stock)

is there any thing better than this intake? or any thing that just looks nice and shinny

Thats not the SLP lid, its the factory lid.

 

agreed you can tell because it is so low compared to the slp and how wide the opening is

 

Plus the OE lid is the only one that uses the silencers ... those two big boxy thing next to the MAF sensor. All aftermarket lids eliminate that, even the OE and aftermarket SLP lid.

 

It does have a high flow K&N filter on it though.

 

So how much should I expect in gains from getting a SLP lid? Because I heard from a friend that the SLP "flowpac" doesnt really give the advertised 25 hp...

 

nothing ever gives reported numbers.... it say around 5-10 maybe? i didnt really notice much with mine

 

The "FloPac" is a waste of $300. All lids are roughly the same, about a 10hp increase.
