What do I need for ls6 upgrades from ls1.
I have a 99 z28 I have a loose lifter and am planning on swapping to ported LS6 heads and intake, also going to put a mild cam in. I want it to run nice and smooth and was wondering since I have to replace a lifter if LS6 lifters would be ok to put in since I'm doing the LS6 swap and if there is anything else I will need to change. Also what would be a good mild cam? Any suggestions would be helpful. I'm also putting a transgo HD2 shift kit for it to run smooth and proper I thought about a 2800-3000 stall converter, I'm sure there is more ill need if anyone has some info on that I would be great full for the knowledge.

I used to run a Lingenfelter GT2-3. It was 207/220 .571/.578 118.5 LSA. I ran it with some cheap ported heads and my 02 Firehawk made 390 to the wheels on the stock tune. You need some good valvesprings for that lift, but it was a nice setup that drove like stock. If you don't mind getting a tune, I would go for a 224/224 .581/.581 114+4. You can similar cams from a bunch of different vendors. I would get a tune for running that cam, mostly just to fix the idle and driving characteristics.
Also, you will be kicking yourself if you don't go at least 3600 on a stall.
