Hmmmm.... I've found that the faster I go- the better my milage is. What does this thing get in town?

Thats sweet so i dont have to worry about getting worse gas mileage. I ahve somewhat a heavy foot but i wont need to push the pedal as hard b/c this car will ahve alot more power than my a4. OO and for teh record my a4 is a 5spd not a auto.

 

I usually just do city driving, occationally i'll get on the highway, and that makes it jump up.

Last full fillup was 18mpg, mostly if not all city. I'm filling up today and i'll let you know.


I have an A4 btw.

 

2.73's and stock tc seem to be my 60' problem, i trap over 110 for 13.1.

 

Is that your best MPH?

when i was just bolt-ons i only checked highway

going about 80mph i would get about 28mpg

now that i have the cam i've checked it a few times. 2 tanks per driving style.

highway, both trips were 200miles of 80mph, and 100 miles of 55mph

24.2 and 24.5mpg

for my "city" driving, which isn't really city, but it is alot of 35 and 45mph driving. few stoplights.

18.2 and 18.6mpg

so i'm pretty happy with it since i'm making about 400rwhp

 

Damn Teke that's not too bad. Hope you came through the 'cane alright. I got 32 mpg on a highway trip up to South Carolina, but that was when I stock + the JetChip my car had on when I bought it. Now I get 15 to 18 city and ?? highway, haven't taken any long trips with her since the exhaust work.

The mods and tune actually improved my city mileage. Or maybe now I just can't drive around at WOT for fear of local constabulary.

 

well, my gas guage is messed it read 1/2 a tank then i put in about 6 gallons and it overflowed so i cant accurately measure it

 

made it throught katrina fine...no damage...jsut lots of rain and wind.

as for the gas milage...NO KIDDING! i was amazed when i looked at the number on the calculator.

the highway is nice since i still have stock gears and i can still cruise along at 17-1800 rpms in 6th at a decent speed.

full city traffic would drop my figure a bit i think, but for my kind of "city" driving it's nice. there aren't many lights, but most of the driving is 35-45mph. i have to drive 85 miles to get to a road that is higher than 55mph.

I just got 26 out of mods in sig. Before mods, 24 .

 

Last time I checked I was getting 8 miles per gallon on the freeway and who knows how many gallons per mile in town.

 

I just recently got my best highway mileage ever - about 32.8 miles per IMPERIAL gallon which would translate roughly to 27.3 miles per US gallon

but the sad thing was I paid about $5.47 CDN for an imperial gallon of high -test gas that morning before I made the trip or about $4.55 CDN for a US gallon of high test gas

1 imperial gallon = 4.54 litres and 1 US gallon = 3.78 litres in case anyone was wondering

 

...but this IS NOT an LS1- that's what this thread is about.
