What else is needed with Eibach Pro-Kit springs?
I recently got the Eibach Pro-Kit springs and I love the look a lot. I was told the rear would settle more and become even with the front. I was hoping that was true. It was, and it looks great now. However, the ride is worse than when I first got the kit installed and noisy. I'm using the stock shocks because the Pro-Kit only lowers about 1.2" and I heard that would be ok. The noise has gotten really bad though (sounds like I'm driving an old worn out car) and when I hit bumps it makes me sick to my stomach after a while (noticeably much worse than stock or even when I first got the springs installed). I've only had the springs on for a few weeks now.
When I got it done it was suggested that I get an alignment. I've read that that's not really necessary. I wanted to do it anyway but I didn't have any extra cash and now I'm broke. Somehow I doubt that would have anything to do with it but I don't know.
Do I need new (better, aftermarket) shocks to go along with my springs?
Different springs aren't really an option unless somehow it comes out cheaper in the end by getting them and they look as good.
My car is used for street use only and is a daily driver. Please help.

You definitely need new shocks, aftermarket springs are much stiffer than stock and will quickly wear down the stock deCarbon shocks on our cars. Bilstein, Koni, QA1 are all popular choices.
Also when you lower a car its very common to need an adjustable panhard bar to recenter the axle (lowering a car can shift it) and lower control arm relocation brackets to correct the LCA angle which also shifts when you lower.

Sorry to bring up this old topic but I need an answer fast. I've been looking at the Bilstein shocks on this page.

I can afford these but I was told by someone that I need revalved Bilsteins. I hope that isn't true becase they cost over $100 more and I can't afford them.
Will someone shed some light on this please?

To double check everything you need and to make sure it is all compatible, I would ask in the Autocross section of the board.

yea, this should be in autocross, they are the susp gurus over there but...
i've been reading up and i think in addition to the aphb, and some new shocks, you should get lca relocation brackets
when you lower it, you throw the lca's out of spec and they start pushing the weight differently- as in, not towards the ground, which in turn means no weight transfer
imagine spinning, but not laying any rubber
i heard lca relocation brackets on a stock car can even help it put the power to the ground
i know how it is being broke, but i would get an alignment too, so your tires don't wear wrong, which would suck
just a suggestion
edit: just saw fastrdammit's post, o well, atleast reinforcing a point

Cool, thx to you both! And btw, reinforcing the point is great. I wanted to hear the same thing from several people so I feel better about it and I don't really have the money to just throw around.
