What is the -first- mod you would recommend - 2002 SS?

screw the rear until your down near the 12.0's or 1.7x 60' times with a 6 speed...
4.56 gears? gonna need some tall slicks for those puppies.
if i was you, i would buy a set of bfg drag radials on a set of salad shooters to get you started. they will have no problems hooking up. put a set of lca's on there and let that be that for the suspension.
now, start upping the power, because the bfg's wont really be hurting you untill your running some low 12's.

Your car is an M6. Your first mod should CAGS(skip shift eliminator) if you aren't already tired of it, you'll soon learn to hate it.
After that, you might want to think about a filter(k&n or Holley Powershot) since you already have a lid.
Probly wanna get some Subframe connectors pretty soon also, keep your car rattle free.
