i have a stock 02 z28 and im tryin to upgrade little by little... i wanna know what would be the best exhaust system for my car i want it to bark... is it true that flowmasters take away some of your hp??? thanx

SLP Loudmouth has my vote. Go to LS1 sounds.com. They have a bunch of different setups for you to listen to.

 

i think borla or the slp loud mouth you cant go wrong with these 2

 

I just put on jet hot long tubes and a hooker catback on this weekend and it sounds great. Sounds quiet at idle but when you open it up

 

slp loudmouth or the TSP rumbler

slightly more mild you could go with the magnaflow or hooker

if you have the $$$ go for the GMMG

 

GMMG here and I love it. Look around and try to get it on a group purchase and save some money

 

Most everyone will tell you to get the exhaust they have. Just do a search!!!

guess what exhaust i have?

 

the exhaust that i have on both of my cars. the bassani tru-duals. direct bolt on for 00-02 fbodies to stock manifolds and cats. dual 2.5" system that comes with x-pipe and goes over the axle. doesn't need any after market upper panhard rod to clear. i did the borla first on the wife's 99 formula. when i swapped to the bassani, i picked up another 15 rwhp.

yes. it bolts directly to the cats. the factory y-pipe is replaced with the x-pipe. click the 00 formula link then bassani dual exhaust to see the pics i took when i installed it on my car. dyno and track results are also on my webpage.
