Post what would it take for an ls1 to make 390rwhp?

would a simple cam swap w/longtube headers hit this mark?
what size cam?
i want to build an LS1 to outrun my LT1.

You would need all of the bolt-ons plus FLP long tube headers,and a decent cam: thunder 224, thunder 230, thunder 227, MMS 229, etc.

if you have an A4 get a stall and bolt ons, and you can easily out run him
if you are worried about hp beating him out and have a stick then get full bolt ons and a good cam and you will be real close.

Check out www.thunderracing.com they have a dyno for some of their cams with longtubes.

i agree with what everyone else said. cam and headers are the main ingredients. i make about that; my 4.10 gears lower hp slightly. if i had stock gears, i'd make about 5 hp more i think.
parts recommended besides cam and headers/exhaust:
-ls6 intake
-pullies
-ported throttle-body
-dyno tune/MAFT/LS1edit
