LS1 motorsports' Direct-Flo Lid and the regular Whisper Lid. Or are they both the same? Sorry if anybody has answered this before, but I'm new to the LS1 world. I need to know fast because this is a X-mas present.

 

Maybe....but I have heard bad things about how they seal!

 

I have a direct-flo and it works great! But after hearing everyone talk I kinda wish I would have got the Holly Powershot filter instead of the K&N. Oh well.

 

i got a whisper works great.....with whisper ram air

 

The SLP lid & SLP Cold Air induction combo works nicely for me. I got a K&N filter too, but only cause it came with the SLP CAI when I bought it on Ebay, hehe.

 

i prefer the whisper carbon look.. i have an MTI carbon look.. but havent installed it yet..

I think just like anything else, you can get a bad apple in every bunch.................the LS1 Motorsports "Direct-Flo" lid works / seals well on my car (even with a K&N filter), and people on here have had both good and bad experience with pretty much every other brand as well (ie: SLP, Whisper)....................IMO, you should be fine with whatever you get, just check how it seals when you install it, and as long as you're happy with the looks (plain black, clear, carbon fibre), performance differences are probably negligable between the brands.
