oil light:

turn the ignition on, oil light should come on...hold down the trip odometer button till the oil light flashes...that should reset it. i think...something like that

the hypertech is useless really. the programming is not proven to help much. many have had a lose of pwer from them.
they are only good for adjusting shift points, firmness, redline and tire/gear changes

It is a waste considering what parts you could buy with the money.

Dont get rid of the speed governor if you dont have z rated tires or they blow the ^$$# up.

No WS6 that I know of came with tires that were not rated for at least 145+, nor do they have any governor. As for the Hypersh!t programmer, its good for the basic stuff like someone already said, shift points, tire size, crap like that. If you want real tuning go for www.pcmforless.com.

I had to hold mine in for about 15 sec for it to work, but that is how you reset it. Dont start the car just have the key to on and then hold the reset button.

turn the key to the on position (do not start the car) and press the the gas (maybe brake) pedal and hold for a few seconds until the light goes off.

Re: whats to gain from a hypertech programmer

as far as the governor, stock from what ive seen with my car is past the 155mph mark, some on here say 163mph, 160 + momentum. how they tell 163? i dunno. i do know i had mine past 155 5-10 seconds later it shut down til i got back to about 125-130. (open highway, noone but a friend trailing me around) no animals killed in that act(s) of stupidity.

i hope you are kidding????

guess i was living on the edge when i was doing 145 on the t-rated tires i had. T= 118 mph. tires just don't explode because you are going faster than their rating. the speed rating is the limit they can do safely and still dissipate the heat generated for extended length of time. yes, going above the speed rating isn't a good thing. but the tire can handle it for a limited amount of time. the faster you go, the more heat build is in the tire. due to it's inability to dissipate the heat fast enough.
