Wheel Bearings (HELP PLEASE)
I think I have a bad right rear wheel bearing, I have the brakes off, I have the rotor off, now where the heck is the wheel bearing at? I have no clue how to do this but i figured it would be asy to get to, can anyone tell me how to change this while I have it all apart right now? Its a 2000, THANKS FOR THE QUICK RESPONSE

It should be pressed on to the axle near the flange. If the axle is worn down a bit get an bearing saver kit. Most auto parts stores should have them if thats what you need. Otherwise just have a new bearing pressed on. A machine shop can do the pressing pretty cheap. Good luck

Sorry there are not more pictures, but ...
The wheel bearings are in the axle housing , not pressed onto the rear axle shafts - that's a Ford 9" style that does that.

for some written info - this is from the Project Trans Am website, BTW.

A slide type puller is use to get the bearings out.
Hope this helps !
