where did you get your LS6 intake manifold and for how much?
i'm thinking i might go ahead and get one
these seem to be nearly impossible to find, only reliable reasonable priced place i can find is SLP ($426 shipped includes coolant tubes)
are there any other places to get these things? i keep checking the boards but they get sold within hours of being posted.
also, whats the sure fire way to tell its an LS6 manifold from pictures? the bottom is flat?

I got mine for $404 shipped in Jan. 2001 from paceparts.com. But it costs $445 unshipped from them today
$375 P/N 88890523 Manifold
$14.20 P/N 12568478 pipe {Replaced by part #12578838}
$9.65 P/N 12562788 (2) plugs
The current P/N is 88894339 (formerly 88890524, 88890523, 12561184). It should also have the PN on the casting. The LS1 is stamped on the passenger side right next to the firing order.
I was considering going over to LKQ to see if they have any decent replacement parts. I need a rear taillamp assembly and some other tiddly stuff.

I just happened to talk to somebody at Taxas-speed today. He told me for my '99 get a GM LS6 intake, I wont need to worry about the blockoff kit. This intake has it removed. I am going to get a offroad lt header and y pipe and have it dyno tuned at the same time. He said the intake is $440, does this sound right about it being smooth with no need for a bockoff kit?

Re: where did you get your LS6 intake manifold and for how much?
I just said to hell with it, and bought it new from SLP for $426 shipped.
I was leary of eBay, etc because who knows what I would have ended up getting. Then I would have had to deal with the crappy parts department around here to get those coolant lines...to me it was just worth it to pony up a few more bucks for a complete, ready-to-install intake from a reliable source.
