Will 1999 Z28 Camaro Gauge cluster work on a 1998 Z28 Camaro? I know 1998 V8's differ from the 1999's and up but I dont know if the same goes with the gauge cluster. Are there also some differences between the interior wiring of the 98's and the 99's? Thanks!

 

It should work, they're both the same if they're not the one with that goes up to 110 I think.

Temp gauge in the 98's reads the actual motor temp.. the 99-02 cars are programmed to sit at 210... more like an idiot light than a gauge... this should be a source of problem if any of the electronics controlling the gauges are in the gauge pod themselves.

Gm ditched the actual temp b/c the alum motors heat/cool faster and people were bringin in their cars complaining about abnormal temp fluctuations... or so the rumor goes..

I can't believe it. That pisses me off!

 

Some of the lights are different on the 98 cluster then the 99. I am sure the cluster should work, but not sure about those lights...
