Will Truck Throttle Body Work? Worth It?

Will Truck Throttle Body Work? Worth It?
I've read that the TB's for GM trucks (LS Motors) are 80mm compared to 75mm for F-bodies and will work on them. First, is this a true bolt on swap? Is there a specific year to look for? If I can get a deal on a new throttle body for a 6.0 truck, would it be a good mod? Thanks

i've never heard of them being different. and if they are, they must not be compatible.
otherwise i'm sure it would be a more talked about mod.
are they even cable operated TBs? or are they drive by wire like some of the vettes?
but i don't see GM making a different unit just for the trucks, particularly when there are minimal gains to be had from it.
but i'd be interested to learn more if there is.
EDIT:
looking at the after market TBs for the trucks, BBK lists separate units for 99-02 trucks, some with the cable some electronic. and they also list a separate one for the 03-04 truck.
something tells me they are not compatible

I got the info from the book "How To Build High Performnce Chevy LS1/LS6 V-8's". It stated that mostly all-wheel drive trucks came with the ETC (electronic throttle control) but others were cable actuated.
