Yokohama YK420 V rated tires
I just bought them today for my 99 TA (A4,3:23). Since my Dunlop Z rated tires didn't last 20,000 miles (and I did NO racing or tire burning during this time) I couldn't bring myself to buy Z rated.
Does anyone have these Yokohama tires? How does a V rated tire compare to a Z rated besides speed rating?

no real difference if you arent that type of person. Seeing as how I often max out a car.. I need them. I love Yokohamas and have no doubt that they will be decent but what you should look at is the UTAQ rating.
the lower the rating the softer the rubber. My Yokohamas were about $90 each and had a 160rating. They hooked like a freak and would last about 7-10K miles but at $90 each they were hella cheap!
good luck with your tires!
