Found these headers on ebay. Tell me what the deal with these are. Are they long tube headers? I dont think I want to mess with shorties, might as well get the best thing the first time. I found hooker long tubes also on ebay.

Here are the hookers,

Does anyone else know of any place to buy a set of used LT headers????

I also found some exhaust on ebay. Borla. Does this come with everything that I need? It almost seems like something is missing, i dont know.

Thanks,

-Ryan

P.S. I am still open to all suggestions.

If I had 400 bucks and a box stock F-body I would:

Order the SLP loud mouth and SLP CAI and kiss the 400 bucks good by…

After That I would get MSD wires and NGK Plugs and Tune her up.

I have been hearing a lot about hot cam kits? The LT4 hot cam kit and some others. Would this be something that i'd notice a big power increase, b/c i have been lookin at the kits and they are right around my price range. I just dont know if my friend can help me install these, or if I would have to take it somewhere for an install, and how much that would cost. Any input?

I wouldn't get a Cam kit until you have the basic mods (headers & cutout or catback). You may beable to buy a cam kit for $400 but the price for it + install + anyother issues you might have could put you wayyyy over $1000. Don't waste your time with shortie headers either unless you have emissions to worry about, LTs are the way to go. If I were you, save a bit more money, make a custom CAI, then buy some coated Jet-hot LTs for like $530 shipped.

I was checking out the pics of your car on the bmw board, man are those guys funny. They act like their early 90s/80s BMW could beat your car into the ground Get a set of LTs on that car asap and lay the smack down on them

"Dude, your going from a BMW to a chevy?" LMAO, go home beamer boy is all i have to say.

Yeah arent those guys funny on that board? They all automatically assume that since it is Domestic, that it cant handle. Hell this car already handles better than my bmw could, and if i beef up the suspension one day, i know that it will own them all. Good luck with your little gay *** 6cyls that redline at freaking 4750rpm stock. You had to shift at like 5mph if you floor it in 1st gear. Wasnt a bad first car, but NOTHING compared to my new love.

Thanks for the input guys.

P.S. I think I will probably just get the Hooker Catback system, along with a new cai. One day i'll do the cutout/Jet Hot LT's/and the cam. Do you think i'll notice any difference in power with just the Catback and new CAI?

I'd say go with a used CAI ($100), a cutout($50 installed), and 4.10 gears($170 + install). That gives you a total of $320 and gives you 80 left over for installation of the gears. These 3 combined, done all at once will be a HUGE difference to you.

I'll sell you my used CAI for $60 shipped. Needs a filter. It's the K&N CAI :-)

If you can do some work yourself, here's what you should do:

Used CAI-- $100
Find a 4.10 rear end for ~$350 and then sell yours for $300--$50
Cutout--$50 installed
Set of used Drag radials--$150 + $30 mount=$180
That leaves you with $20...go buy some beer for when you install the rear.

Be patient and search board for good deals. Also, are you a member of www.mofbody.com? If not, you should join.

make your own CAI, and get edelbrock headers with y-pipe and youll be under budget. Last time i checked online the headers and y-pipe were 350, and you can make your own CAI for $55. So, youll have 95 left over to save. Trust me, dont spend everything on your car.

He already said above he doesn't want shorty headers. Making your own CAI is a good idea though, and very easy.

I personally would not touch the cam until you have full exhaust and intake on the car.

Like others have mentioned, try finding used parts. I would not bother witht he 4.10 gear yet either until you comkplete the full exhaust and intake.
