don't know why you keep throwing the $ card since the parts i use come with titanium retainers and locks also.

i hardly believe that these springs are overkill for a stock cammed motor that will obviosly be driven with performance in mind, take a look at these videos it's what we do not really get to see....

I never once said the springs themselves are overkill for a stock cammed motor in terms of function. In fact I am sure they work great. But for the price, they are, especially when they will perform the exact same way that the LT4s will. That is the bottom line here. Do you understand that? You might not like it but hey...truth sometimes hurts.

And by "driven with performance in mind", you'd be stupid to think that people who have stock LT1s drive their car without "performance in mind". I bought mine stock and drove it like it was meant to be driven. How many broken stock or even aftermarket valvesprings have you seen?

And what good is showing me clips of valvesprings on a 700HP 8000rpm engine, a NASCAR engine, and a video showcasing Comp's beehives?

Apples to oranges.

geez you have issues dude!why get so defensive?
the whole point of the videos were to show what valvesprings look like when operating to other people than yourself....
actually i thought that those videos were pretty cool.... i don't mind spending a little extra on my parts.

You're trying to get the OP to spend $300 on a set of springs when it's plainly seen to everyone so far to be a bad idea. I only have issues with people who provide bad advice.

You might not mind spending a little more on your parts, but not everyone on here is made of money. If they can see the practicality of using something less expensive to do the same thing an expensive part will do, then they can use the money saved for something else.

I don't see why in hell you would spend that much money on springs for a RR upgrade.

96m6lt1, I think that you're going into this with a much different mindset than the OP or anyone else in this thread that has been trying to help. I think we all understand your opinion but for this situation it bears no weight.

guys it was just my opinion, just as everyone has said their own. showing someone another avenue is not bad advise at all. if you read the link you would see the 255.00 is for springs, titanium retainers and locks.
maybe the OP should contact AI or LE
