1.6rr's done, but some chatter.

I went for a test drive. It idles good and revs good but there is some chatter on the drivers side. Would that be from over tightening? I spent forever it seems to get it running right, and now i might have to adjust more. Do they usually make noise at first???

RR's tend to make more noise than stock rockers.

How much though. I cant really hear it too much when revving it high but when i let off the gas and it slows down i can hear some metal chattering.

I have the 1.6 RR's and mine are pretty noisy too. I was kinda wondering the same thing ....

After the Crane Gold's were put in, it was noiser than the stokers. Mech told me to expect some RR chatter. Been that way for five years and no internal engine problems yet, hasn't gotten louder either.

I actually dyno'd my car a week later and I gained 7 rwhp and 2 lbs. of torque at the wheels.

Mine are full rollers and only in the winter at startup do I hear anything. The exhaust is pretty loud though so maybe I just can't hear the noise. I just remember expecting to hear something and being suprised that I didn't.

I wouldn't say mine "chatter." Atleast I don't hear anything over my exhaust.

My 1.6 RR chatter, it's perfectly normal. When I'm giving it gas I can't hear them over my exhaust, but idling or just a little gas (especialty next to a wall or another car) I can really hear them.
