10.93 at 124.7 is my best et. Have been 10.97 at 125.9 on a worse 60'....all in around +500 DA. Ported stock castings, 355, good rods/pistons but stock crank, solid roller, 6 speed. I would drive the car everyday with a few changes. I think the car as it sits would go 10.7s at least in our good winter air..but we will never know since things are a-changin.

Tim, I remember seeing your post about hitting 10's, but your solid roller. Have you dyno'd by any chance?

Also, this is one of my favorite fbody pics ever...

yea, made 439/405 through a 9" and 4.71 gears. It is solid roller...but it sounds so tame next to some of the hyd. rollers out there today.

Thanks about the pic...NMCA photo guy did a great job.

Being in the south, I would have never pulled the AC out...it wasn't working so I didn't want to carry it..if it was a daily I would havefixed it. I would put the power stearing back on or prolly just convert it to manual rack instead of the poor mans manual I have now. Besides that not much. I would pull one suspension peice and only hook it up for track only(Pet-Z bars). Besides those 3 things it could be a daily driver very easy....oh yea..I would do more part throttle tuning also..but thats easy since I have lt1 edit. I still think in that setup with good air the car would go at least 10.9s...maybe 10.8s. .

yea, I could drive this thing every day. You also have to remember I'm a racer so a little cam surge and a touchy clutch is nothing to me...but the new style spec stage 3 is lots better than my ceramic stage 3 I use to run . Actually..it doesn't surge untill around 1200 rpms. The numbers are deceptive to how tame this cam sounds compaired to some hyd rollers. I actually thing the CC 306 cam "sounds" biger than mine. I shift at 6900-7000 and running stock computer..hence..I can tune it with lt1 edit. Ive driven CC306 cars and would choose mine over that for every day driver hands down.

What tires are u running..height and such and race weight. Those are some impressive times. I will be glad if my car runs that on nitrous.. So you like those 4.71s better than a 4.11..hmmmmm

Yea..love the 4.71s if you run a big tire. And with the 6 speed rpms still aren't bad in street mode. You would need to really spin the motor up since its only good for about 128 at 7000 rpms in 4th.

I'm running a 28x10.5x15 et drag on a 10" rim. They work pretty good
http://www.geocities.com/herrint/blurrwheelie.jpg cut/paste this link..geocities sucks.

I will be shooting for 11.30's when I get some decent air with my new setup. But I am more concerned about running lower 10's on N2o than running low 11's N/A hence the 3.42's. I will be out testing this weekend. Later Clint

Long time no chat Clint. Glad to hear the car will be running again soon. You going for low 10's on the 10 bolt?

Well I have a couple options on the rear but I live by the saying "If it ain't broke don't fix it". I saw an LS1 car run 9.90's with the stock 3.23's gears in the stock 10bolt so go fiqure. The car feels strong and probably needs more gear N/A but if it runs 11.40's-50's N/A I won't change gear. Later Clint

Russ, aka Greenbean, did it with his AI H/C car and it has some serious issues. 11.2@119.9ish, that could would have went close to 10s on a good day and no issues.

Do not know what the car will run after more work is completed.
