And it does run quick but far from being the quickest. Now I may step up and put a gear, slicks, 12 bolt setup on my car later this year to see what it can do N/A but for now I will be content with 11.40's N/A and 10.XX on gas and still very driveable with 3.42's and a tight converter but thats what I like.

man...you guys are having fun huh..lol. I think SARs car could have gone 10s with a simple gear change in ok air. I think he made his 11.2 runs in +500 air so I know that in the great air we get every now and then it would have gone 10s with the setup he was running.
Why is everyone so afraid of solid rollers...lol If I pull my solid lifters out will you guys let me play then. Oh well..too late, I'm going for high 10s in the middle of the summer so you guys will just be in my rearview mirror big time when the weather gets better

1982..so you have to adjust your valves 2-3 times a year. With the advances of today they rarely back off much in normal driving.
clint...lol. Its streetable as your 3 speed. But I do pull it to races. I drove it tothe thunder racing grand opening and their car show though. I did win a plaque at the car show..."Most likely to not pass state inspection"..hehehehehe. I went on slicks, mt et drag skinnies, 4" exhaust with a dump before axle, inpsection sticker expired for about 4 years, and I hand't suck my new liscense plate sticker on so it was expired also. Left proof of insurance at home in my manual when i pulled it out for weight the last time I went racing..lol. the had a pretty big list of stuff i would fail...hehehehe.

My 3spd cruises 3k @70mph regularly. You unloaded that thing across the street. Thats not driving across the street you know. Now let some more excuses out. It's your perogative what you do with your car but my opinion is streetcars should have hydraulic cams JMO. later Clint

Just to keep it straight here, I do all my own wrench turning & head work. As for the big shops dropping LT1 testing... since I now work at Thunder consider LT1 testing back in session.
