No its already a built 355 but the guy that built it says he built it to turn to 6500. Still stock crank and rods but they were shot peened and checked for stress cracks. Weisco pistons, moly rings and im assuming ARP rod bolts (need to find out for sure cause this is important). I need to call him again and talk to him and ask him EXACTLY everything that was done to the bottom. I want to turn it to around 6800 but im affraid something may happen and risk screwing up my beautiful CMS top end.

It should be OK to turn it to 6800, even with stock rod bolts it should be OK as long as you are making power up there. Dyno will help tell you that.

CMS will certaintly build you another beautiful top end if you need them too....probably all that you would need is valves....

60' was 1.55
MPH was 93.91
1/8 was 7.215
1/4 11.384 @ 117.94

Need to work on the rear setup some more.

Yeah you shouldn't need to turn a 23 degree 355" any higher than 6800rpms unless you have some $10k heads/cam setup. Later

I was spining my stock bottom end solid roller to 6900 without any issues.. not saying there it wasn't about to let a rod meat the head, but it never did.

Re: 11.4x or better all motor...who has done it?

How much power do you guys think we could make with a single plane conversion on a 355" Lt1? I am going to start work on an intake next week and I guess I will have to swap cams to go along with the intake. Although I really like the way my C306 I have now performs on the street, N/A and on spray. What type of changes would I need to make to the profile? I would like to keep it on a 112 L/S for the broad powerband, 23X-24X duration@50 and the lift around 600 or so. LMK what you guys think. Late Clint
