Try disconnecting the battery for a few mins and reconnecting when it's cold. Then start it up and see if you have the same problem. If not, drive it around for a while (few days) and see if it comes back.
My car was doing something similar and eventually it threw a code (O2 Bank 1 Sensor 1 Not Responding). I replaced the sensor and the problem is gone.
I know the computer doesn't read from the O2s in open loop, so the only thing I could figure is the short term and/or long term fuel trim tables were messed up due to faulty data being fed in by a faulty O2 sensor. After disconnecting the battery, the car would run great for a short while and eventually would start having problems again. Another symptom my car would exhibit, was a VERY rough idle at times. The RPMs would drop to 400-500 RPMs, get real choppy, then shoot up over 1200 RPMs and settle at 900.
