1996 optispark, plug and wires replacing

Re: 1996 optispark, plug and wires replacing
Hard to follow…. your posts seem to be very brief and short on important info.
Start from scratch - do you NOW have spark when cranking the engine? You stated you had that before installing the new Delco Opti.
Can you verify the injectors are working, using a ‘noid light?
When you crank the engine, do you smell fuel? Two of the earlier codes indicate it was running rich.
When cranking the engine, does the “SECURITY” light possibly stay on or flash?
Try pulling codes again.
The P1441 code indicates the EVAP system purge solenoid (on bracket, passenger side of intake, mid-point) is leaking, staying open when supposed to be closed.. That’s equivalent to a vacuum leak. Temporarily take the hose (smaller, elbow on passenger side of throttle body) off the throttle body, and cap the nipple on the throttle body to eliminate that vacuum leak.
Use Shoebox's guide to see if you have power to the Opti, and whether you have the required signal from the Opti to the ICM to fire the coil.

You indicate the new Opti is a Delco. Where did you get it? They are very difficult to find.
