Just curious if anyone else has had a problem with the car running after installing the 227/233 cam from CM. We just finished the cam install this weekend and it cranked up just fine and drove it 30 miles. Well the next day I start it up to check the oil and it ran. 5 minutes later she wouldn't start. Just wondering if the stock tune is causing this. By the way its on stock heads and went ahead and installed some SVO 30# injectors too. Im waiting on the tune from PCM4Less as we speak. It's an auto too.

Well you can't run a stock tune with 30# injectors. They will foul up your plugs. Just wait until you get the tune and also check your plugs and replace if necessary.

so its probably the injectors flooding in too much fuel?

Yes. The tune will take care of that, but like I already said, check your plugs too.

also probably didnt need 30#ers with stock castings, but its thinking ahead if you plan on ported heads.

You shouldn't run a car like that with a stock tune and wrong injectors. It can run rich and wash the oil off the cylinder walls.

The reason for the injectors was to get ready for the heads in the spring time. As for it running it on a stock tune well it doesn't run so no prob. there. I got my tune in so well see what happens tomm.
