Did you encouter the following problems on the AS&M's:
1. Steering shaft hitting the primary
2. Right header collector hitting the k-member.
3. Y-pipe not pent perfectly for install.
4. Bolts hole did not line up perfectly?

Does this Y-pipe follow the original geometry of the stock Y? (Will I be able to bolt the cat up in it's original location or will things need to be moved around in order to do that?)

The RK y-pipe follows the same routing, however I had to bolt the larger pipe to the work bench, heat it at the bend closest to the flange and lift it about an inch. Then I had to cut an inch of tubing off where it fits into the Y-fitting.
It owuld have been impossible to install the y-pipe without these mods.
I did not re install the factory cat, I bought a magnaflow high flow cat and a ball flange so it bolted directly up to the y-pipe flange and the Borla ball flange.
I also used aluminum collector gaskets instead of that paper junk that came with the headers.

Yeah I plan on that as well, I was looking at the Random Tech.
Just wondering if it was going to be able to tuck up under the floor hump in the usual spot

Okay, so I'm getting
header bolts
header gaskets
collector gaskets
What is the gasket for the Y to cat connection? Is it the same as the collector?
Or is there one

depends if you get it welded there or have a flange. I personally would get it flanged so you can drop it when its in the way of working on something. That being said, you are always more prone to leaks with flanges

The stock setup is flanged, right? It'll probably stay that way to make things easier.
I need a low-profile jack. I want to get under my car to take a look at things and I can't
I need some wood planks at least

The stock cat is welded ot the stock y pipe. A flange connects it to the catback. Its easiest to just go with a dual-flanged aftermarket cat. Not only is it the easiest to install, but you could swap it out for an off-road pipe if you ever wanted to.

I think we'll be doing it after the weekend. My buddy is a mechanic, works out of his house... So he's gonna help me along with it. Time to get my hands dirty.
