3000 Rpms @ 65mph w/ cutout n cai

Today finally got to take her out for a nice spin after mods...on the highway it feels like i have 373's in this thing....sits @ 3000 at 65 in drive...seems fine in od though when the rpms drop...could this be caused from just the cai n cutout, is it normal....btw the cutout sounds like **** and believe it or not isnt even that loud

It all depends on where you placed the cutout

The best way to do a cutout is to put it after the cat and use a temp sensor to put it in the right spot. I dont know what to tell you............

The reason it was still quiet is because you still have your cat. Why bypass the muffler with a cutout when your still blowing through a cat? Make a converter eliminator pipe and use a crayon and the heat method to figure out where to place the cutout. prorac1

did you put it on backwards or something?? ive never heard a cutout that was quiet, the tone is a personal preference though.

Beauty is in the ear of the beholder. Sometimes a cut-out can and does sound like an ol' beater. Loud isn't always good IMHO. I open mine up at the track and it doesn't take long on the street to get tired of it.
