306 and stall?

I have a PTC 2500 stall converter and 3.73 gears. will the converter be sufficient enough for a comp 306 cam?
thanks Billy.

Re: 306 and stall?

comp says that you need a 2500 or more to use this cam,if you only use a 2500 you will be giving up some potential of this cam.
the cc306 comes to life at 2500 so you should have a minimum of 3000 stall so if i were you i would just get a 3500-3800 like most of us have with this cam.....as a rule you should have a stall that stalls 1000 rpm after the cam begins to start this helps to get the car into the power band,i noticed you were using nitrous so get a stall that has anti-ballooning plates in it as well as all the goodies to make it last!the cost here is well worth the price!
