335/45/17 tires out back... will they fit?
#16
I just put a set of 3353018's on my friends lowered(sportline kit, but he did put some shims or something in the spring) 95 TA. IM not sure of the offset, or backspacing, but i know it is an 11 inch wheel. It took ALOT of air to get those bastards to seat. They stick out a little bit, but thats mainly due to the more shaply rear fenders of the TA. Those are some BIG D@MN TIRES. have fun.

Stick with 315's only because their is no 335 drag radial. As far as sticking out past the fender, I think it looks much meaner with them sticking out a little bit. Gives it the old muscle car look. I have weld wheels with 315 nitto drags and they fit with no modifications, and have only hit the fender once when I hit a huge pothole at 45mph. I ran spacers/adapters thus sitting the wheels out a little bit and it looked much better except now my road has gravel so I have them tucked under again. I guess its just an opinion as far as how they will look. If its what you want then just do it.

I have some sitting next to the car waiting to get put on
I have got a adjustable panhard and am waiting on some tubular LCA's which should should be getting shipping to me in about 5-6 days then i think i will need some sort of spacer
Mine are on the 11" rims
Ken did you have to use a spacer? did you get to keep your bumpstop or did it have to go? Did you have to get the fender lip rolled? Thanks in advance
Mindgame mine should in installed in about 2 maybe 2 and half weeks i will have plenty of pics onces its done

I have some 335s on my care now. It is very close and did require some hammering. I will be switching to 315s or some firestone 285s and use my extra set of stock rims to put some nittos on. That way I can run the street tire i want and have a set of drag radials for the weekend.

Thanks guys!
Doc, let me know when you get those pics, I'd love to check em out. Thanks.
So it looks like it can be done but yeah, I can imagine (looking at Fred's pics of a 315) that it's a tighty and I can see where the BFH comes into play.
So it looks like a deal! Ken are those AFS wheels on the 50mm backspacing? Geeze, I should have read back.... aren't those the same wheels Fred had in his pics.....?
Drag radials are cool but I'm not overly concerned about it cause I'll have a set of slicks ready to go when I get to the track..... yep, I'll throw it on the trailer, not because I can't drive it but because my truck has alot more room for carrying tires and stuff.
Thanks again guys.

I have been running 335 Pilots for the last two years. Adjustable track locator bar is required. I'm using AFS GS offset 11" rims. The springs are Eibach ProKit. The tires rubbed, in turns, on the LCAs. Tubular LCAs fixed that. The tires then rubbed on the front of the inner fender. I hammered there with BF hammer, but not too much. I did roll the top of the fender lips. The tires do not stick out past the fender. During normal to slightly spirted driving on the street the tires do not rub. In a very quick, hard, lane changing motion the tires will rub. I have not taken the time to see if I can "adjust" this out. Your results may vary.

Thanks Ken... I should have edited my response... I scrolled back to reread Fred's reply. So it looks like 50mm is the backspacing to go with on a 17x11.
That helps me out a lot. Now I've got to place an order and based on the previous response from Kinesis, we're looking at some build time here. Also looking at HRE but it's the same story.....
Thanks saint, the "dust" on the tread gives a good perspective on the width.
Might want to cover up that hole you made cutting out the license plate area.

There's a link to a pic of some 335's. It's not my car, but somebody gave me the link a long time ago.
