Hey guys my 93 z has a 4L60 transmission in it. It currently has problems with shifting. I went and looked at a chilton manual for the car and what I get from the chilton manual is that the 93 transmission is not electronically controled or at least that is what I think I am reading. Is this true and if so can I put a 700R4 or 350 turbo in it without having any problems with it. Let me know.

The non-electronic 4L60 used in the 1993's is the same tranny as the 700R4. The TH350 or a TH400 can be installed, but you better like to crank big RPM on the freeway, because niether of those has an overdrive gear. My TH400 and 4.10's was running close to 4,000rpm at 70mph, until I put a Gear Vendor O/D unit on it.

Do you think it would be better to have my tranny rebuild or go with the b&m street fighter 350
