383 Dynoed today

I dynoed the car today at a shop in FLorida. about as sea level as your gona get. Car made 403.3 HP on the Second pull. 403.2 on the 3rd pull.

Im wondering if I could gain any HP buy changing the exhaust around a little. I have Hooker LT's with Mufflex Y reduced to 3 inch. I have a bent I pipe to connect to the Hooker Cat back. Maybe I need to change the muffler to a offset in center out, or center in center in muffler to get a better flow. Or maybe the same muffler in a 4 inch pipe instead.

Injectors are SVO # 42. I may change them to 36's or so and increase the fuel 3-5% with programming. Air Fuel ratio showed car running on the lean side.

Im happy to be in the 400 HP CLUB! I want 430 or so though.

I'd try a cutout before getting a whole new exhaust.

That cam doesn't seem to make much power in any engine, I have no idea why, it has great mid range but just dones't give you those peak numbers. get a custom cam or a GM847

Headders are comming out for repair work and re coating.
The I pipe that connect to the Y-pipe suck so I want to replace it with something better. I also want a stright threw muffler. Im just not sure if I should run 4 inch or 3inch pipe over the axel.

Yea I must say every post I see with dyno #'s that involve that cam have terrible #'s. I bet going to a GM847 or custom cam would bring you up to 430+rwhp atleast with heads like those in a 383. JMO
