383/LE TFS combo

So my setup is coming together this week. Seems like it has been forever waiting. Anyway, I have ordered the rest of the parts (i think) Let me know if I forgot anything:

Forged 383 w/-5cc flat tops SRPs 11.5:1
LE ported TFS heads 2.08/1.625 (Done, lloyd shipped em out today)
LE ported intake manifold
Canton 7 quart Pan
Melling HV oil pump with canton pickup
Hardened oil pump driveshaft
Pro Mag 1.6RR NSA
7/16" rocker studs
Morel lifters
ATI superdamper
CSR Waterpump
Monoblade TB
42lb Injectors
Walbro 255 Fuel pump kit
PR length Checker
ARP Engine bolts and head bolts
MSD 6AL/Blaster coil
MSD wires
Hooker LTs
Spec Stage 3+ and billet steel flywheel
Cloyes double roller
Dual electric cutouts
Still need a 95 timing cover (anybody know where to get one? autozone/advance auto don't carry them)

Also, still need guideplates. The TFS guideplate are on backorder from summit. Can I use different ones? or does anybody know of a different place to get them.

LEt me know if I forgot anything

Oh yeah, any ideas on HP/TQ?

Thanks

Nathan

Re: 383/LE TFS combo

If you're using 3/8" push rods (I'd assume you would), comp guideplates will work just fine.

Re: 383/LE TFS combo

They will work/fit the TFS heads?

And BTW: the TFS guideplates for those heads only come in 5/16

I don't know but that setup sounds sick and is very near to what I should be putting on once I settle on buying a block. Are you sticking with your original opti? Which Bauer cam are you going with? Exciting times man!!

you know, I'd defer that to TFS. I don't see why they'd make it different than other sbc head

I remember trying out the comp guideplates with my tfs le ported heads, and i don't recall everything fitting together like it should have, definitely worked out a lot better with the tfs guide plates.

I have a very similar setup, about 3k miles on the motor but the piston rings or something didn't break in correctly so ive been shooting out blue smoke for a while now and I am about to begin the engine removal process so i can get everything fixed and done once and for all.

The car was definitely pulling very hard and is very fun to drive, don't have any hp/tq numbers though since i wanted to dyno tune and get everything done but I won't bother until the car is running 100% without any problems.

you will definitely enjoy that package, lloyd did awesome work for me.

Re: 383/LE TFS combo

Actually I ended up picking the morels up from Thunder since I was ordering the fuel pump kit and injectors and they had em in stock. BTW, lloyd finished my heads yesterday. Nice numbers for sure. I definitely tried to not get the cheap s**t on anything on this engine. I got the best of everything I could, so I am really hoping to see some pretty good results. If bryan from PCMforless does that dyno tune for me, I will be glad to email you the graph if you are interested. Any tips about these guideplates for the TFS heads?

EDIT: I am however still looking at that converted super vic. After I get an emissions sticker on this thing, you will be recieving an EMAIL
