I have a 383 with LE2 heads and a CC503 cam and the motor made 468 hp @ 5700rpms and 484tq @ 4200rpm - these numbers where on an engine dyno and not at the rear wheels but for an emissions legal setup its not too bad. When it was tested on the engine dyno the fuel injection and LT1 intake was not used so it was running on a holley 650 carb and bowtie intake with 1 5/8 headers stepped up to 1 3/4 - I have short tube headers on my car for emissions purposes and I would guess they are probably costing me 30hp. As far as an everyday driver it is no problem. I don't know if this info helps you as the LE2 cam is probably much larger and I'm sure it will have more overlap than mine. The nice thing about a smaller cam is the low end torque for daily driving but the larger cams definately make up for it in the higher rpm, it just depends on what you can live with and what your goals are.

It will be great...I used to drive mine everyday before I got a cheap beater to keep the miles off the SS...I was getting around 17-18 mpg also..youll love the low-end trque and how it pulls uptop also..if you have it dyno tuned it will yield the best results..
