3rdgen LT1
I am two months away from getting a built LT1 (Vette) motor for my 3rd gen. Formula. I've seen general info. regarding this swap on the net, but I would like to get my hands on a definitive guide to this swap if one is available. The motor will sit until my chassis is set up to handle the power. Any info. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Re: 3rdgen LT1
check out thirdgen.org in the motor swap section, there is a ton of info on there. Also check out http://www.geocities.com/texaslt1/lt1swap/swap.html
Hope this helps.

Re: 3rdgen LT1
thirdgen.org is the best its reall easy to do if you have a good general knowlege of cars thr hardest part will be the wireing there is only 8 wires that you should need to spice maybe a few more depending on what you are keeping on the engine
definatly a good mod mine kicked my butt because i put a 4th gen dash in at the same time which ment alot more wires

89WS6...what's up man? I'm currently doing a LT1 install for my '90 Thirdgen as well...My install is a little bit more involved, b/c it deals w/ a V6 mpfi, to a V8...what info are you looking for to be exact?
It's not really that complicated, from what I gathered. Like Lunati397 said, the most complicated part will be the wiring. However, if you break it down into parts, that should be tackled fairly easily. All of your connections will be from the C207, and C100 bulhead connectors on the thirdgen (Passenger side kickpanel, and drivers side under hood, by fuel pump relay on the firewall)

Re: 3rdgen LT1
Hey guys,
Thanks for the info. I got lucky with this motor. My father's partner is a car nut. He had this motor built for a roadster (kit) that went on an S-10 chassis. He didn't have room for headers, but the motor dynoed at over 400 hp to the wheels with exhaust manifolds. The motor comes with two ECMs and two different cams. Once the chassis mods are done, I'll swap the motor myself, but as far as the wiring goes, I'm planning on towing it to my favorite garage. If anyone needs a TBI 305, let me know. LOL. Thanks again for the input.
