Speculation matters not. Have him get hat AFR fixed, because he is running in the 11:1 range, according to that graph, and then you will know how close to 400 you are.

there not worth the hassle to most people because theyd just step up cams. if hes dead set on keeping the hotcam then every couple ponies count.

Brent Franker did 399 with ported heads and the Hot Cam.

tons of compression 12.5:1
383 inch engine
open cutout after y pipe
no cats
FLP long tubes
58mm tb
K@N intake
ported heads

at the time everyone was saying that my numbers sucked, and now 4yrs later most don't believe that you can make that kind of hp on a hot cam.. the internet is funny sometimes..
