Politics and the global economy aside, Chinese forgings ARE inferior to American forgings. Everyone I know using Scat or Eagle has upgraded the rod bolts so you need to figure that into the cost if you require the extra "insurance".

No one said that they were just as good as the american forgings I said that they were stronger than stock, and that they were a better value IMO than refurbishing the stockers. If I had had a larger budget, American forgings would be on my list (along with an Callies crank) Given what they can handle, the impoted stuff is a good value, and a nice alternative to sinking money into the the stock rods.
BTW, the cap screws that came with my Scats have "ARP" stamped in the head...so why would I need to upgrade?
