500rwhp NA thread #2.
#16
Currently had my engine dyno'd. Am using a hydrolic roller cam ,and stock ported lt1 heads. Granted that this was on an engine dyno but motor put out 557 FWHP and 490 PDS torque N/A. Looks like it will be a couple more weeks before I can test this combo at the strip. Persision Industries now makes a lock up torque converter for the TH400, am waiting for them to make my valve body for tranny and to ship my Torque converter.

I cannot be 100% sure but didn't mindgame have over 500rwhp? He was on a stock short block with chev 15° heads converted to reverse cooling. Then P&P with a custom hydralic that he said idled like a well tuned CC306? His track time was something like high 10's but he was kicked off because he didn't have a roll cage. Doesn't anyone else remember that thread? Or am I just dreaming up random **** lol

Yea maybe that was it. Except I remember it being a stock bottom end still. But really, thats a mean N/A 383 setup. I don't think many LT1s break 500rwhp even with 383cubes.

IM over 400hp at the engine and I have a 224/230 112lsa and homeported heads and stock bottom end so I guess that aint too bad. Havent gotten it tuned yet either and I could trap 114s all day long on a stock clutch that isnt doing so well. we'll see when I do the clutch on monday. Ad get a dyno tune later this month. I guess 500 FWHP is possible with monster cam and awesome heads, but it would be pretty hard and probably not too streetable

Peak rpm was 6900. Was still pulling 529 fwhp at 7400 rpm. Torque peak was at 5200 rpm (493pds) Had 432 pds torque at 3900 rpm. Am at work right now and don't have the head flow sheet with me..

thinking about building a sheetmetal intake ?
will be one bad lt-1
